Case Studies
When Mitchell Media began operations in 1997, our first clients were radio stations. We discovered that radio stations face roughly the same challenges as most small businesses, namely, (1) the need to create an appealing graphic design, (2) the need to develop a devoted user base and (3) the need to update their Web sites without hiring a skilled Web master. Graphic design: One of the challenges of radio-station Web sites is to create a flashy "show-biz" look and feel to capture the user's attention. We continue to develop Web sites for the entertainment industry, using the latest animation technology to create an appealing Web presence. Returning Users: Once we had a user's attention, our next challenge was to provide interesting and fresh content to keep users returning, time and again. So, working with our clients, we developed many Web site features to keep users interested and returning: community event listings, "ask the expert" sections, daily news listings, interactive message boards, movie listings, interactive games and so on. Updates: Radio stations, like most small businesses, have small staffs, and typically they do not have the resources to hire a Web master. So, we started creating automated, database-driven Web sites that use password-protected Web forms for updating the Web site. Anyone can fill out a Web form, and as much as possible we allow clients to add to or to edit their Web sites without any knowledge of HTML. Please explore some of our clients stories, and then please contact us so that we can help you create an effective Web presence. |
